Peter Ulrich Collaboration at Webster Hall 2015

The Peter Ulrich Collaboration is helmed by Peter Ulrich, the renown former percussionist for the iconic Dead Can Dance and a contributor to the UK post-punk supergroup, This Mortal Coil.

Peter's appearance in the Marlin Room venue––in support of The Peter Ulrich Collaboration's new album, Tempus Fugitives--marks the beginning of his triumphant return to the live stage as a headliner.

The music of The Peter Ulrich Collaboration--a mini-orchestra of superb musicians and vocalists featuring more than a dozen instruments––is a mix of folk rock, psychedelic rock and world music, spiced by Steampunk and Gothic references and recalling, of course, the beautifully constructed soundscapes of Dead Can Dance.

In addition to music from Tempus Fugitives, the Marlin Hall performance will feature music from The Peter Ulrich Collaboration's debut album, The Painted Caravan (2013).

Reviews of  the Collaboration's music have been overwhelmingly positive both in the UK and the US. RollingStone.com described the album as "a rich and song-filled showcase," while Modern Drummer called it a "grand mix of folk and world music" and Popdose described The Painted Caravan as a "riveting and intriguing" album. Rob Steen of UK's national newspaper, The Independent, has described The Painted Caravan in Music Week as "a smorgasbord of music past, present and future, and a bona fide contender. A collaboration to be cherished."

The concert itself has a theatrical overlay and is set in an alternative universe where characters as diverse as Don Juan and blues legend Robert Johnson attempt to flee the ravages of Time.
